Signed under the base within a square reserve Seiya Sei せいや製, Genryusai Seiya.
Active in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1912) Genryusai Seiya was the master craftsman specializing in high-quality bronzes. His works included studies of animals in bronze, but also scenes of daily life depicting human figures.
