A Japanese lacquered Suzuribako with rounded and inflected corners decorated in makiè lacquer with a pair of two Manchurian Cranes with a nashiji lacquer bottom as inside.

Inside, a group of Siniu is decorated in makie lacquer and gold leaf on a nashiji background, next to the stone to dissolve the solid ink with the water container.

Edo period 18th century

Sizes: 24 x 22 x 4,5 cm.
