In 1902 he obtained a patent from the imperial government. In 1909 he was granted a second patent. His damask works were made mainly from designs drawn by Bisei Unno of Tokyo Fine Art School.
He was awarded first-class medals for his exhibitions, and to his great honor his works were purchased by the Imperial House.
