Samurai
The Samurai in the Tokugawa period 1603 -1867 were subjected to a strict label that regulated every moment of their days and that had at their finest attention their clothing and parade equipment, a way to show off their status was to exhibit works by the best artisans- artists: sword ornaments such as tsuba and menuki, perfect blades, sophisticated armor, masks, menpò and kabuto, inrò, kimono of precious fabric, objects for the tea ceremony, which first conquered the warrior class, then spread among the other classes .
Curious, personal, rare and sought-after objects will be grouped in this section dedicated to the highest category of the Japanese social hierarchical scale, the one that deprived of political power has been the guide and the beacon of the country for 300 years.
